Original Story: The streak had to end at some point. After some incredible appointments, President Donald Trump made his first “establishment” move that may be unpopular among many America First patriots in his base by appointing Senator Marco Rubio as Secretary of State.

Perhaps it will work out. Early reactions have been mixed. Most seem to want the momentum to continue so they’re focusing on who will replace him in the Senate. His seat will be filled by whoever Governor Ron DeSantis appoints.
At least it’s not Rex Tillerson.
This is a breaking story and will be updated with reactions and further details when they become available.
Here are some early reactions:
Now that Marco Rubio will have to resign his Senate seat to become Secretary of State, I think this man would make for an excellent Florida Senator. pic.twitter.com/3AJzo7zyLA

I supported Donald Trump because he promised not to negotiate with Hamas terrorists, but to kill Hamas terrorists. His pick of Marco Rubio as Secretary of State demonstrates that commitment. Please join me in thanking and congratulating the Senator! pic.twitter.com/IudWcWVWhn

Until @realDonaldTrump himself confirms that he named Rubio as SoS and Waltz as NSA, I’m going to assume it’s untrue.
The stories are coming from Maggie Haberman of the NYT, they’re based on anonymous sources, and she’s known for making shit up. pic.twitter.com/8q85V4dEdM

One thing I'll say about Rubio: He's been pretty loyal to Trump since the "Little Marco" saga. I don't love him and the establishment certainly knows how to put on an act, but…
Now if he steps out of line, Trump can fire him and end his career.
Big test for Rubio. We'll see.
