Terrorist Attack in Brooklyn

Reports are coming in from Brooklyn that a possible mass casualty event has taken place in a subway. Multiple gunshot victims and at least one explosion have been reported by various news outlets. Undetonated explosive devices have been found at the scene.

According to the NY Post:

At least a dozen people were injured Tuesday morning in a gruesome shooting in a Brooklyn subway station during rush hour, officials said.

The bloody incident broke out around 8:30 a.m. at the 36th Street station for the D, N, R lines in Sunset Park.

Clair, a straphanger who witnessed the event while riding the Manhattan-bound N train, told The Post there were so many rounds fired off she “lost count.”

Update from Fox News:

A law enforcement source told Fox News Digital the suspect is described as a Black male, wearing an MTA uniform, a gas mask and “carrying a bookbag.” NYPD Counterterrorism units are responding to the scene, while additional units, including police K9s and heavy weaponry, have been deployed to subway stations around New York City, the high-ranking law enforcement source added.

The victims were transported to area hospitals, including NYU Langone and NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist. The Department of Education confirmed that schools nearby were sheltering in place.
