As the House GOP meets to determine who their next nominee for Speaker of the House will be, they know going in they need a consensus. The best candidate to achieve this goal and put a strong ally of President Trump in the Speaker’s chair is Jim Jordan.
I’ve had my differences with the Congressman, but given the other options being floated he’s the best man for the job. Would it be nice to see President Trump temporarily become Speaker Trump? Sure, but that doesn’t appear to be on the table. Would it be nice to see a full-blown constitutional conservative and nationalist on with the gavel? Yes, but there are very few and none of them would throw their name in the hat because none of them would get enough votes.
Jim Jordan, co-founder of the House Freedom Caucus, is the best viable choice for America as Speaker of the House. Those who oppose him in the House GOP would only do so because Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney told them to.
