Greg Abbott Advises Donald Trump to Focus on Three Issues and Follow a Tight Debate Strategy

(Conservative Playbook)—In a political landscape riddled with chaos and confusion, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has emerged as a voice of reason, offering sage advice to former President Trump ahead of the impending debate with Vice President Kamala Harris. With a storied career that includes three terms as state attorney general and two as governor, Abbott knows a thing or two about navigating the treacherous waters of political discourse. His straightforward counsel?

Abbott’s strategy is clear. Let the adversary sink herself.

“The more she talks without talking into a teleprompter, the more she shows America that she’s really not up to the task,” Abbott emphasized in an interview with Fox News Digital, a sentiment that resonates deeply in a time when leadership is sorely lacking.

Abbott’s analysis doesn’t stop there. He believes that if Trump allows Harris to dominate the conversation while he zeroes in on three critical issues—border security, inflation driven by the Biden-Harris duo, and the rampant crime plaguing our cities—Americans will quickly realize that electing Kamala Harris would be a catastrophic mistake.

“If he [Trump] lets her talk and if he focuses on three issues — one is the border, another is the inflation caused by Harris and [President] Biden, and the other is the rapid crime that we see in some cities, caused by people like Harris and [her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim] Walz — Americans are going to understand the last thing they want to do is to have Kamala Harris running our country, because it would be run into the ground,” Abbott asserted.

Abbott’s commitment to Trump is unwavering. He endorsed the former president for the 2024 GOP nomination last November, long before the primaries kicked off, and has been actively campaigning on Trump’s behalf in battleground states like Arizona.

“I will remain on the campaign trail for President Trump because no one knows more about what’s going on on the border than I do,” he declared, underscoring his expertise on an issue that has become a focal point of the national conversation.

As Abbott continues to rally support for Trump, he warns that Americans must grasp the stark reality of the policy shifts that have occurred under the Biden-Harris administration.

“Americans need to learn the reality, both of how the policy changed under Biden and Harris and what Kamala Harris would do to pretty much put America on a pathway of destruction,” he cautioned.

Looking ahead, Abbott is optimistic about a potential second Trump term.

“During his first term, we worked well, especially on border security-based issues. But it’s going to be better this time in part because he will come to office knowing far more than he did when he entered office last time, knowing which levers to pull, what can be done, and the strategies and how to quickly take care of it,” Abbott explained, painting a picture of a more seasoned and effective leader.

In a final note of confidence, Abbott shared insights from his recent conversations with Trump, suggesting that the former president is ready to take decisive action.

“I’ve talked to him in recent times about what his plans are. He’s going to be far more aggressive this time than he was last time because he has to find a way to course correct from all the damage caused to the United States by Harris and Biden,” Abbott concluded.

As the 2024 election looms, one thing is clear: the stakes are high, and the American people deserve to know the truth about the candidates vying for their trust. Will they see through the smoke and mirrors of the Biden-Harris administration? Will Kamala be exposed to the “normies” who don’t really understand how disastrous she’d be as President?
