According to a recent Tweet by the official Department of Defense account, diversity is somehow going to help with mission readiness and success. As they put it:
Diversity is a strategic imperative critical to mission readiness and accomplishment. We were on site for the 2023 inaugural @DoD_ODEI Summit as DEIA experts led forums to advance the DEIA and DoD mission — because our people matter.
Anyone with a brain cell realizes that every other military in the world — including our enemies in China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, and all other nations who want to destroy us — focuses on putting the best warfighters on the battlefield. This isn’t one of those realms where diversity should be a top consideration.
Twitter CEO Elon Musk obliterated their premise in eight words:
